چکیده
1.Summarize risk factors for opioid misuse.2.Describe key components of a standard operating protocol (SOP) safe prescribing in an outpatient palliative care program.3.Explain the process by which feasibility SOP was determined. The misuse opioids is public health emergency. Opioid guidelines exist chronic pain, but not care. Lack contribute to absence policies use programs. 1)Establish clinic embedded VA cancer center; 2) Determine implementing each measure over 9 months. An created based on CDC/VA/DoD prescribing. implemented non-hospice patients and included 6 components: 1. Completion consent; 2. Baseline stratification misuse; 3. Urine toxicology every months; 4. Review State PMP 3 5. Naloxone individuals with high-risk score; 6. Aberrant behavior plans. Determined component calculating completion rates after 3, 6, After months (n = 43), were: consent 91%, ORT 98%, CTPMP 77%, urine 65%, 67% cases. 44): 100%, 95%, 78%. Future research needed determine impact SOPs implementation non-VA settings.

Implementing resilience engineering for healthcare quality improvement using the CARE model: a feasibility study protocol
BACKGROUND Resilience engineering (RE) is an emerging perspective on safety in complex adaptive systems that emphasises how outcomes emerge from the complexity of the clinical environment. Complexity creates the need for flexible adaptation to achieve outcomes. RE focuses on understanding the nature of adaptations, learning from success and increasing adaptive capacity. Although the philosophy ...
متن کاملImplementing a quality improvement programme in palliative care in care homes: a qualitative study
BACKGROUND An increasing number of older people reach the end of life in care homes. The aim of this study is to explore the perceived benefits of, and barriers to, implementation of the Gold Standards Framework for Care Homes (GSFCH), a quality improvement programme in palliative care. METHODS Nine care homes involved in the GSFCH took part. We conducted semi-structured interviews with nine ...

15 صفحه اولinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Modeling of the Outpatient Prescribing Process in Iran: A Gateway toward Electronic Prescribing System
Implementation of electronic prescribing system can overcome many problems of the paper prescribing system, and provide numerous opportunities of more effective and advantageous prescribing. Successful implementation of such a system requires complete and deep understanding of work content, human force, and workflow of paper prescribing. The current study was designed in order to model the curr...
